Wormwood Essential Oil, 5 ml.

$10.65

Wormwood is a famous flavoring in absinthe which is once again legal so long as the thujone content is very low.  This means that use of this essential oil should be extremely cautious because it is potent and potentially neurotoxic.  It can be used for its aromatic properties in blends and in tiny, tiny amounts internally to promote the flow of bile.  This, in turn, acts as a digestive aid and vermicide. Wormwood is also a febrifuge.

It should never be used by inexperienced persons, but is offered here for those who observe the proper safety guidelines. The aroma is very powerful and will dominate other oils.  Try blending with Sweet Orange Essential Oil.

Contents:  Steam distilled leaves and flowering tops of Artemisia absinthium.

Warning:  This oil should not be used by pregnant or nursing women. This oil is full strength, not diluted.  It is suitable for aromatic use in perfumes and ointments.  It must be diluted before being used. Do not use more than two drops per quart of carrier if used internally.
