Douglas fir is a coniferous aromatic oil, sharper than pine and not as exuberant as wintergreen. It has a hint of lemon and is used as a disinfectant, room freshener, and respiratory aid. Some use it to clear their space for meditating and aligning. Though non-toxic and non-irritating, it is meant for external use. It mixes well well Lavender, Lemon, and Rosemary.
It is a very familiar tree, the one we see at Christmas with decorations!
